Kathryn and Andrew Stubbings of Cobden’s Heytesbury House Bed and Breakfast were excited to be recently announced as a recipient of a TripAdvisor Hall of Fame award.
The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame is awarded to businesses who have been the recipient of a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. This is only the second time that TripAdvisor has issued Hall of Fame awards.
For Kathryn and Andrew, who made the move from Melbourne eight years ago it is an honour to receive the recognition.
“There’s nothing more valuable to our business than feedback. We really value our online reviews, and as a result we are constantly improving what we offer to guests to ensure they have a high quality, memorable experience,” Kathryn said.
At Heytesbury House continual improvement underlies the business decisions made. Improvements in the past 12 months include new breakfast menu items including gluten-free options and improved wi-fi coverage. Suite 3 is currently under refurbishment, and other enhancements include ambient LED candles in all suites and lighting improvements in the drawing room.
Kathryn and Andew have also been busy with product development including the introduction of packages, providing all the items you need for a romantic getaway.
“We have also recently introduced Murder Mystery Nights which have proven very popular,” Kathryn said.
“We continue to review all aspects of our business to continuously improve our business and what we have to offer guests,” Kathryn said.
“We would like to thank our guests for their support of our business, and for taking the time to provide us with great reviews on TripAdvisor.
Comments received from visitors in the past 12 months reflect the high level of hospitality that Kathryn and Andrew offer, with many noting an intention to stay again in the future.
TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence honour hospitality businesses that deliver consistently great service. TripAdvisor makes use of user-generated content such as review ratings to award businesses with this recognition. The Certificate of Excellence takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.
In 2016 and 2017, Heytesbury House Luxury Bed and Breakfast was also named a Silver Winner in the Hosted Accommodation category of the Victorian Tourism Awards.
