After achieving a Silver Award for Hosted Accommodation at the 2016 Victorian Tourism Awards, Heytesbury House Luxury Bed and Breakfast owner operators Kathryn and Andrew Stubbings felt it was time for a fresh new look to better reflect the luxurious Heytesbury House experience.

“Feedback from the Tourism Awards judges indicated that we required a stronger focus on marketing our business,” Kathryn said.

“At the forefront of this strategy was the development of a new website, and so began our relationship with Glen and Sara at Gee Bees Media in Camperdown,” Kathryn added.

Kathryn sat down and started to sketch a few ideas for the new branding, and then handed it over to Pinnacle Print Group where their design team went to work to bring it to life.

The idea for using peacock feathers in their new branding came about from the reference of peacocks throughout Heytesbury House.  These beautiful birds once roamed the grounds of the property (and the town of Cobden) which were then owned by Dr Bill Barrett. Peacocks feature in stained glass windows within the property at the front door, and in the bathroom of Suite 2 (Byron Suite) which was originally the theatre of the private hospital operated at the property. Peacocks also feature on the fire screen in the drawing room which is utilised by guests.

After the new website went live, Kathryn and Andrew went back to Pinnacle Print Group to design new signage and stationery, and Camperdown’s WestVic Signs ensured the streetscape reflected the fresh new image.

To further enhance the luxurious offerings, new towelling has been introduced, embroidered with the new logo by Thannahwood Embroidery of Bostocks Creek.

“We are thrilled with the new branding, and the ability to share the design and implementation work with other local businesses, and look forward to sharing it with guests to Heytesbury House,” Kathryn said.
