Channel Nine presenter Lauren Phillips and a crew from the popular travel program Postcards visited Heytesbury House in Cobden today (Nov 2).
Owners Kathryn and Andrew Stubbings only found out about the visit on Friday. It is understood the episode will air in early December.
The crew spent several hours filming the historic property before Phillips arrived to interview Kathryn and explore the award winning accommodation for herself.
Phillips enjoyed a Devonshire tea on the verandah, a walk through the grounds and sat by the open fire to ask Kathryn some questions about the building’s history as a hospital and the current accommodation packages that are available.
Andrew said the request from Postcards to visit had taken them by surprise and he had spent the past few days making sure the grounds were at their picturesque best.
“It was pretty exciting for us, but it also puts Cobden and the region in the spotlight and that’s what it’s all about,” he said.
“We have so much to offer visitors in our region and anything that raises our profile as a destination is fantastic.”
